Councilman David Antone was elected to the SRPMIC Tribal Council in 2014. Prior to that he practiced tribal law for over 30 years by holding the position of a tribal prosecutor, Salt River Police Department Officer and a private-practice advocate. He is a former member of the Arizona Tribal Prosecutors Association and was elected three times as the president of the association. He holds two college degrees and has previously served as the Chair on both the SR Landfill Board and the Salt River Gaming Enterprises Board.

Councilman Antone previously owned and operated Featherbow Lighting, selling commercial lighting and fixture products. Councilman Antone is also an avid cattle-rancher.

He was raised on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community his whole life, but attended Steward High School and graduated in 1971. He has also lived in Nevada, California and Kansas.

Councilman Antone is the proud father of three boys and he and his wife, Patricia, raise 5 grandchildren in their home.

Councilman Antone continues to advocate for solutions that arise from Community-wide issues and concerns through thought, planning and implementation of innovative methods that will improve life for all members while also preserving family heritage and the culture of our ancestors and protecting lands for ourselves, our children and the future.
