SRP-MIC named top 10 Healthiest Employers 10 year running by Phoenix Business Journal
These awards recognize companies that are committed to creating healthy workplace environments through a variety of wellness program options. SRP-MIC’s President, Council, Administration and Senior Management provide leadership and support for employees who pursue optimal health and wellness.
WellPath was named a Wellness Warrior by the Phoenix Journal which was bestowed to a handful of employers who have been recognized each year since the award started.
The Vision and Mission Statements for SRP-MIC include a commitment to a “spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically healthy life-style.” The commitment extends to those who the Community employs.

American Heart Association Platinum Recognition
Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community’s WellPath Program awarded Platinum level recognition from the American Heart Association for promoting a healthy workplace. On March 20th, 2026 the American Heart Association has awarded the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community Platinum recognition in the 2026 Well-being Works Better™ Scorecard, representing a notable commitment to the health of its workforce and community.
Built on the Association’s 100-year history of saving and improving lives, the Scorecard brings together emerging research and input from leading experts to help employers create a healthy and effective work environment. Organizations can earn a recognition level of Completer, Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum based on their adherence to the Association’s recommended practices in areas such as mental health, burnout prevention, compensation and benefits, and more.
Included in SRPMIC’s Mission and Vision is to create a leadership that cares for employee welfare and accountability, and a Healthy Community in mind, body and spirit. The WellPath Wellness Program is an expression of this vision using a wholistic view of wellness to provide programming which improves wellness and reduces costs of illness. In WellPath’s 15th year, the American Heart Association bestows its highest recognition for workplace well-being and for outstanding commitment to creating a workplace culture where health and well-being are prioritized and every employee is empowered to reach their full potential. “At the heart of every thriving organization is a workforce that feels valued and supported,” said American Heart Association CEO Nancy Brown. “We’re honored to recognize the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community which has made employee well-being a cornerstone of their culture through the Well-being Works Better Scorecard.”
