Sexual Assault Awareness Month: Chalk ‘n Walk

The SAAM (Sexual Assault Awareness Month) Day of Action is an important day held on the first Tuesday of April each year, which falls on April 1st this year. It’s a day dedicated to raising awareness about sexual violence and showing support for survivors.
This year, the Family Advocacy Center invites you to join us for a “Chalk ‘n Walk” event. Participants will use chalk to draw/write supportive messages, statistics, and other awareness-raising content on the basketball court at Friendship Park, followed by a one mile walk around the complex encouraging others to raise awareness about sexual violence.

- The first 150 participants will receive a State Forty Eight t-shirt made specifically for this event.
- Take a selfie at the event and self-report to earn 15 Wellpath points.
- A light meal will be provided after the walk.
