Obtain SRPMIC Funeral Assistance & Resources
The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC) Funeral Assistance Program is a coordinated effort between the Administration and Public Works departments to provide financial assistance and resources for funerals. This program helps Community members manage expenses during difficult times by offering both funeral loans and mortuary assistance.
Types of Assistance Available
There are two forms of financial assistance for enrolled SRPMIC Community members:
- Funeral Loan Assistance – Up to $500 in funeral-related emergency loans are available through the Administrative Department.
- Mortuary Assistance – The Public Works Memorial Services Program provides burial assistance of up to $3,370 per burial.

Funeral Loan Assistance
Under Council Policy 1-12, enrolled Community members may request a funeral loan to cover costs related to the death of an immediate family member. Eligible family relationships are verified through the family circle records maintained by the Salt River Membership Office.
Eligibility Requirements:
Only enrolled SRPMIC Community members may apply for a funeral loan.
Loans are granted only in emergencies where no other financial resources (other than per capita) are available.
Loans shall not exceed $500 per applicant.
The Funeral Loan Promissory Note must be completed before loan approval.
Applicants must meet eligibility guidelines, including no court injunctions or public fiduciary client status.
How to Apply for a Funeral Loan
Application Process:
- Complete the Funeral Loan Application (online or printed).
- Sign the form to confirm the request.
- Attach a copy of your valid photo ID (Tribal ID, Driver’s License, State ID, or Military ID).
- Submit the completed application via:
- Email: ACES@srpmic-nsn.gov
- In Person: Deliver to Two Waters Administration Office
