Councilmember Doka was first elected to the SRPMIC Tribal Council in September of 2018 and re-elected in 2022. Her maternal grandparents are the late Benjamin and Cecelia Collins. Her parents are Rebecca Collins and Frederick Doka, Jr.
Cheryl Doka has worked in the Community for her entire professional career and has served on the Land Management Board until becoming an elected official. She maintains an Associate’s Degree in Business, Bachelor’s Degree in Business with a minor in Human Resources and an MBA with an emphasis in Management.
Councilwoman Doka serves the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community by representing the people for a positive change and continues to focus on solutions that are fair, positive and consistent with the various issues we encounter in the Community.
Cheryl dedicates her time being visible and available to all and has the past, present and future member’s best interest in mind. She is the proud mother of 4 children and 7 grandchildren.
