Property and Evidence Bureau

The Salt River Police Department (SRPD) Property and Evidence Bureau (PEB) is responsible for all property or evidence which comes into the custody of the Salt River Police Department, including: packaging, impounding and storage of items by adhering to set legal and OSHA standards. Traffic Enforcement Bureau

Rangers & Animal Control

The Salt River Police Department Ranger Unit’s primary mission is a commitment to delivering the most efficient, effective, productive, and qualitative police services to the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community in the areas of environmental crimes and the protection of the Community’s natural resources. In addition, the Rangers also respond to all animal problems within the Community and conduct high visibility patrol in the Salt / Verde River recreation areas during the summer months. The Salt River Police Department’s Animal Control Technician provides an essential service and has a vital role in the Community and the job can be both challenging and rewarding due to the many circumstances that People come into contact with our animals. The Animal Control Technician has the responsibility of Enforcing Animal Control Ordinances and regularly seeks out loose dogs, or aggressive/stray animals as well as investigates reports of complaints from the public and other agencies regarding nuisance, strays, and uncontrolled, dangerous or diseased animals. Public Safety Communications Division

The Communications Division is the public safety answering point for the E9-1-1. The division operates 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week and dispatches police services, fire services and emergency medical service for the Community.
