Q.  What is the amount of the second Financial Relief Due to COVID-19 payout?

$2,500 for this second payment. There was a payment of $500 already paid out in March to those 21.

Q. I am between 18 and 20 years of age. Can I get the $500 that was previously sent out now?

No. Council authorized the first payment in March for only those enrolled members 21 years of age and older.

Q. Do I have to turn in receipts to prove my expenditures?

No. For administrative purposes, the Community has opted to use federal funds to pay a flat amount of assistance rather than reimburse various amounts.

Q. Do I have to pay tax on the COVID-19 financial relief payment?

No

Q. Will I still get a SRPMIC Per Capita check if I get a COVID-19 financial relief payment?

Financial Relief Due to COVID-19 payments are not connected in any way to the SRPMIC Per Capita Payouts.

Q. Will the Financial Relief Due to COVID-19 payment get deducted from my future Per Capita?

No. Financial Relief Due to COVID-19 payments are not connected in any way to the Per Capita payouts. Financial Relief Due to COVID-19 payments are also NOT loans. They do not need to be repaid.

Q. What support or evidence do I need to submit with my application?

No documentation is required. This is a “self-certifying” application. By signing, you are attesting that you have a COVID-19 related financial need.

Q. Will I receive the COVID-19 financial relief funds in the same manner as my SRPMIC Per Capita?

Yes, unless, you requested a change in the method since the last SRPMIC Per Capita payout.  In that case,  we will use the most recently requested method.

Q. Is this a one-time payment?

Eligible applicants may only apply once and will receive a one-time payment of $2,500.

Q. Do I have to request the whole $2,500 or can I opt for partial?

Payments will be made for the whole amount. No partial payments will be processed.

Q. How long will applications for the COVID-19 payment be available to apply?

Applications can be submitted any time from July 17, 2020 through December 15, 2020. Any applications received after December 15, 2020 cannot be processed.

Q. How long after I submit my application will payments be made?

Payments to eligible applicants submitting a valid application will be made as applications are received. There is no single payout date. Payments will begin as soon as the July 2020 Per Capita processing has been completed, and on a weekly basis thereafter, with the exception of October when another two-week temporary pause will be in effect during processing of the Per Capita payout.
