Aquatics

Aquatics is here to offer programming for Learn to swim, cool off, get fit or enjoy family fun at the one of the SRPMI’s three facilities.  Our pools provide area residents and visitors amenities such as slides, a lazy river, beach entries, splash pads, and more A variety of aquatic programs are offered including swim lessons, lifeguard training, year round lap swim, water exercise classes and other special events and activities. With a focus on programs for all ages of community members there is always something to do.

Come join the Lifeguard Academy! In partnership with WIOA, we’re offering paid training to become a certified American Red Cross Lifeguard. If you are willing to put in the work, you can earn your nationally recognized certificate. With your completion of our program, you will receive preferential hiring for our Aquatics team come summer! In this program you will be pushed to complete daily workouts, participate in lecture, complete hands on skill practice, and work as a team; all for the betterment of safe community pools.

This program is developed with requirements from SRPMIC – Human Resources. To be eligible, you must be a SRPMIC Community Member turning 15 years of age before the completion of our next session. Sessions take place over the course of 8-10 weeks.

  • Dive-In Movies – Come out and cool off at your outdoor pools for our popular movie nights! Some movie nights will have special events from treats to cosplayers. Movies play every Wednesday night! Bring your cash, our concessions windows will be open!
  • Swim Lessons – Through our sponsor, the Michael Phelps Foundation, we provide a swim curriculum to prepare you or your youth to be safe in and around the water. As you progress we push your limits in endurance, speed, and swimming ability. Come learn today! Sessions are 2 week long Monday through Thursday with various times for your convenience.

  • Open Swim – Summer is here so come cool off during our open swim times! Lehi and Salt River pool open Monday through Saturday 12p-5p daily, except SRPMIC recognized holidays. As well the WOLF pool will extend their weekday hours to cover 11a-730p Monday through Friday, and Saturday 11a-530p. See you at the pool!
  • Pool Parties – Out most popular request summer after summer, POOL PARTIES! Come out and enjoy a safe environment for you, your family, and your guests in a private full amenity facility. Our propane grill is available for your use, otherwise have a party your way. Reservations go fast, so be ready with your $125.00 cash, and come to our Pool Part Walk-in day 5/18 to secure your spot this summer. Reservations will be available throughout the week at Lehi and Salt River pool during the dates of May 30-August 31
  • Lap Swimming – Physical fitness is important for all and we provide a calmer environment for you to participate in some lap swimming. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings you can get a workout in before the work day begins or even come back on a lunch break! We are open 6a-11a, as well can put a lane in upon request if the pool day is a little slower.
  • Swim Team – Are you a good swimmer between the ages of 5-17 looking for a challenge? Then come join the swim team! If you can swim one lap across the pool we want you to join the Salt River Eagles and compete against our partner the City of Scottsdale. We will help you build your swimming prowess so that you can compete in Freestyle, Backstroke, Butterfly, and Breaststroke; as well participate in the biathlon where you will swim and run. Come represent SRPMIC this Summer!
  • Water Aerobics – Are you looking for a low impact workout with the guidance of an instructor? The water aerobics is for you. Aquatics has partnered with the Diabetes Prevention Services team to provide specialized instruction to help you stay fit. Call today to find out more.
  • CPR Classes – CPR is a vital lifesaving skill. Your Aquatics team is here to certify and provide instruction through the American Red Cross and certify you with this nationally recognized certificate. Join us once a month on Saturday to complete this 4 hr. training.
  • Swim Lessons – Every Saturday at the WOLF you can come participate in swim lessons! Just because it isn’t hot outside, doesn’t mean it is not a good time to learn to swim. Every Saturday morning at 10a or 10:30a you have the option to learn to swim with an instructor. This is open to all ages as swimming is an essential skill for everyone! From beginner to advanced, we tailor every lesson to your specific skill need.
  • Lap Swimming – – Physical fitness is important for all and we provide a calmer environment for you to participate in some lap swimming. We are open 6a-1p, as well can put a lane in upon request if the pool day is a little slower.
  • Open Swim – The WOLF pool is open 4p-730p Monday through Friday and Saturday 11a-730p for your swimming needs. If you need to cool down or warm up, we are here all year to provide for a safe swimming environment.

RULES & REGULATIONS

** AQUATICS/RECREATION STAFF HAVE COMPLETE AUTHORITY IN POOL AND ADJACENT AREAS.  ANYONE NOT FOLLOWING THESE RULES WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE FACILITY. **

 All patrons must sign-in with the aquatics monitor prior to admittance to pool area.

  • All children 11 years of age and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult (at least 18 yrs. of age)
  • All non-swimmers and children must leave the pool facility when the responsible adult leaves the body of water.
  • Persons with open cuts, sores, or other related health concerns (including contagious or communicable diseases, vomiting or diarrhea within the last two week) will not be admitted to pool area.
  • All swimmers must shower before entering the pool.
  • All swimmers must wear appropriate swim attire.
  • No loitering in the restrooms and locker rooms.
  • No diving allowed in shallow pool areas.
  • No running, pushing, fighting, dunking, spouting water, or other horseplay on pool deck or in pool areas.
  • No sexual behavior will be permitted in pool areas, locker rooms, and adjacent areas.
  • No food, drink, gum, or tobacco of any kind allowed in pool area.
  • No glass or ceramic containers allowed in pool area.
  • No pets of any kind allowed in pool area with the exception of service animals.
  • No alcohol, drugs, gang attire, or gang activity allowed in pool area.
  • Anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted into the pool area.
  • U.S. Coast Guard approved flotation devices are the only acceptable flotation devices allowed in pool area. (no inner tubes, noodles, or inflatables are allowed in pool area)
  • All patrons must be 12 years of age or older to be in the hot tub.
  • All patrons must meet height requirements in order to use slide(s) and follow rules laid out by staff.
  • Anyone incontinent or not toilet trained must wear tight fitting rubber pants or swim diapers.
  • Keep gate(s) and door(s) closed – do not prop open.
  • Observe all health and safety regulation. Staff reserves the right to refuse admittance to, or eject from the pool premises, any person failing to comply with any health and safety regulations.
  • Can I bring inflatables to the pool; water rings, donuts, floaties, etc.? No, we cannot permit inflatable floatation devices into the pool. They can pose a safety risk, due to the fact they can leak, are unsecured, which potentially leads to a swimmer slipping out and becoming a drowning person.
  • Can I bring Pool toys (pool noodles, water guns, sprayers, sinking toys, balls)? YES! We encourage you to have fun your way at the pool. We only ask that all activities maintain safety. If the playing with said toy presents a safety concern to swimmers in the pool, we will request stoppage of that activity. Pool noodles, may not be used as a flotation device for non-swimmers.
  • Can I bring my own life jacket(s)? YES! We appreciate your conscious decision to be safe around all bodies of water. We will check your jacket(s) to ensure U.S. Coast Guard approval. If it is not approved, we will offer one of our approved life jackets, available at all of our pool facilities.
  • How old do I need to be to come by myself? You must be 12 years of age minimum to come to the pool by yourself. If you are younger than that you must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
  • Can we bring food? Yes and No. We do allow food at our outdoor pools (Lehi and Salt River), in our dining areas. No food may be near the pool’s edge. The WOLF does not permit food and beverage in the pool area and locker rooms
