President Harvier was elected to serve as the President of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community in September of 2018. He served as the Vice President from 2006 – 2014. He supports improving education for community members, health-based programs and cultural preservation. He was appointed at the Maricopa Association of Governments Transportation Policy Committee and currently serves as the chairperson for the Salt River Fields Talking Stick Golf Enterprise, Salt River Landfill, Salt River Sand & Rock, and serves on the Investment Committee, Tribal Emergency Response Commission, Gaming Negotiating Team, and the 12% Committee.
He resided in Poston, Arizona until the sixth grade and then his family relocated to Sacaton, Arizona, where attended the Bureau of Indian Affairs School and graduated from Casa Grande High School. Martin and his wife Toni are the proud parents of five children and 8 grandchildren.
When not working he is involved with his community and family and is also an avid sports fan.
