The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC) Public Health Program promotes health and wellness within the Community by focusing on the Ten Essential Public Health Services. Examples of the services Public Health provides include Diabetes Prevention Services, Environmental Health, Injury Prevention, nutritional programs for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), and Public Health Nursing.
Under Salt River Pima-Maricopa Community ORDINANCE NUMBER SRO-572-202 which names SRPMIC Public Health the Community’s public health authority, SRPMIC Public Health requires Health Care Providers, Administrators of a Health Care Institutions, and Correctional Facilities, to report the conditions and diseases listed within the document below. In addition to the specified reportable diseases and conditions, any outbreak, exotic disease, or unusual group expression of disease of public health concern will be reported by the most expeditious means available.
