This year’s theme is “People, Purpose, Presence.”This theme highlights the three cornerstone ideals that motivate public works professionals to serve their communities every day. Meeting the needs of people is what gives public works its sense of purpose. Often, public works professionals don’t meet the individuals they impact—because when things run smoothly, they work behind the scenes.
