Diane was re-elected to the SRPMIC Tribal Council in September of 2018. She was the 23rd President of the SRPMIC and served for 8 years and also as Council Member for 16 years. Prior to being re-elected, Diane was the Director of the Family Advocacy Center.
During her time as President, Councilwoman Enos was appointed at the Western Area Delegate to the Tribal Nations Leadership Council for U.S. Department of Justice, served as the Chairperson for Executive Board for the Inter-Tribal Council of Arizona, Chairperson of Arizonans for Tribal Government Gaming. In 2013, she was recognized as one of fifty most influential in Business by AZ Business Magazine. In 2011, she was named “Most Admired CEO” by the Phoenix Business Journal. She received the 2012 Tribute to Leadership, Public Service Leader Award by YWCA (Eliminating Racism Empowering Women) presented by the AZ Republic and 12 NEWS. She was the 2014 Honoree Recipient by WEWIN (Women Empowering Women for Indian Nations) and the 2014 Women of Distinct Award by the Girl Scouts of Arizona. She has received the 2014 Community Service Award by ASU and the 6th Annual Seven Generations Honoree by NABA (Native American Bar Association). She was the selected Tribal Leader in 2007 to participate in the Harvard Project on American Indian Economic Development and she was also the key spokesperson before the U.S. House of Representatives Subcommittee on Indian and Alaska Native Affairs, “The Keep the Promise Act.” She testified before Congress and the Indian Senate Committee in 2014 and was also named in 2014 as one of the top 25 Influential Minority Business Leaders by AZ Business Magazine. Diane has also helped improve development for the Community and its Enterprises, brought forth new and improved processes, programs and is a key representative in Indian Country in helping establish better relationships with other entities. She helped launch the Community Government Portal which allows the Regular Tribal Council meetings to be streamed live. Councilwoman Enos was an integral part in initiating the SRPMIC Tribal Appellate Court and Ordinance. Ms. Enos resides on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community with her two boys, Victor and Xavier.
