StrongLife
A Vision of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community: A Healthy Community in Body, Health and Spirit
The greatest thing we can do is to take care of ourselves in order to keep our Community strong. In body, each breath and drink we take, needs to be taken with thought that brings continued resilient health. Eyes see directly through the spirit validating to all that life is to be lived in happiness, emotional stability, mental sharpness, and gratitude.
The Council, as in past Councils, have been concerned about the health and wellness of all our community members. We have seen different physical and mental illnesses that has apparently damaged ourselves or family members. In order for SRPMIC to continue strong, we must prioritize our own health at all levels. With that commitment, the Council has graciously funded and organized a wellness program for the community called StrongLife.
A Family Wellness Program
A time for change in Mind, Body, and Spirit for us all including children, adults, and senior community members…a time to focus on a StrongLife and strong families.
Developed specifically for the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community Members and their immediate family ages 5 years and up. Non-enrolled immediate family members may also participate however, all participants must reside within the same household as the community member.
