The Arizona Diamondbacks are proud to be the only Major League Baseball organization to host a youth baseball and softball tournament for Native American youth. The Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation launched the program in 1998; in which the popular all-native tournament encourages participation and support for the great game of baseball/softball within Native American communities from Arizona and across the country.
The D-backs Inter-Tribal Youth Baseball & Softball Tournament presented by Talking Stick Resort is beyond baseball and softball as it is a canvas to bring fans together to celebrate diversity and culture. The tournament has grown so large that games are also played at community fields across the Phoenix Metropolitan area – including numerous fields funded by the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation. The tournament features three baseball divisions and one softball division. Prior to bracket play and championship games, all teams are provided with complimentary tickets and all tournament participants are recognized at Chase Field prior to a D-backs game on Saturday, June 3, 2023.
