COVID-19 FAQs

1. Are there positive cases at SRPMIC?

Yes, the Community provides updated notifications on Wednesday.  The numbers reflect four categories.

  • SRPMIC enrolled community members living within the Community boundary
  • SRPMIC enrolled community members who do not reside within the Community boundary
  • Non-members living within the Community boundary
  • Non-members associated with SRPMIC who do not reside within the Community boundary.

2. What are some preventive measures?

  1. Stay home.
  2. Wash your hands often.
  3. Stay 6 ft or more apart from others.
  4. Wear a face mask in public.
  5. Stay connected by social media, video chats or phone.

Pledge to abide by the preventative measures by joining the Be a Hero. Stay Zero Campaign.

3. How is the Community managing the response to COVID-19?

The Community has initiated several phases with guidelines for each phase: Essential Service-Stay Home, Phase One-Return Strong, Phase Two-Return Strong and the New Normal.

The Community remains in Phase 2.5 -Return Strong and the New Normal.

  • SRPMIC Emergency Declaration still ongoing
  • Departments providing limited on site services, by appointment only
  • Some facilities remain locked. Call ahead for an appointment.
  • Appointment only customers will be escorted inside the buildings and back to the entry once appointment is completed.
  • Face mask required by patrons and employees
  • Social distancing enforced
  • Tribal employee IDs must be worn
  • Hand sanitizer frequently required of employees
  • li>Some buildings remain open with limited services including the Round House Café, the WOLF, Memorial Hall, XPN, Neighborhood Center, etc.

  • Sneeze guards in place to protect the public and employees
  • Be a Hero. Stay Zero. Campaign ongoing
  • SRPMIC COVID-19 Testing and vaccine updates provided including Map updates. Public notifications are posted on Wednesday.

4. How long will this last?

The SRPMIC Local Emergency Declaration is ongoing. There is no timeline of an ending date, the situation changes daily.

5. Are the gaming facilities open?

Casino Arizona and Talking Stick Resort reopened at Noon on Monday, June 1, 2020.  Each opened with a limited capacity and with significant health and safety measures in place.

6. What buildings and services are open?

  • Government buildings and conference rooms – buildings open and conference rooms still closed
  • Memorial Hall/XPN – open (limited)
  • Salt River Community Building – Gov’t scheduled events only (limited)
  • Lehi Community Center – Gov’t scheduled events only (limited)
  • Neighborhood Centers – Gov’t scheduled events only (limited)
  • The WOLF – by appointment only (limited)
  • All Gyms (Education, WOLF, SR, Lehi) – by appointment only (limited)
  • Skate Park, Pools, Parks, Ballfields – by appointment only (limited)
  • Summer Youth Camps, Youth Programs, Schools – open by sign up only (limited)

7. How will I receive information going forward?

8. How can I receive email and text alerts on COVID-19 information?

  • To ensure important COVID-19 information is relayed to the SRPMIC membership, the Community is utilizing the Arizona Health Alert Network (AzHAN) system.
