Mission Statement
Youth Services provides youth with support and intervention services with care, compassion, and cultural relevancy, in a multidisciplinary team approach. We ensure optimal effectiveness, while maintaining a safe and nurturing environment, to meet the needs of youth and families we serve.
After School Program
This program provides services for Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community youth ages 5 – 18 years old emphasizing health/fitness, social/life skills, education, and most importantly culture.
- Cultural Program – The Cultural Program helps expose Au-Authm and Piipaash culture to youth from ages 3 – 18 years old.
This program provides:
- Services for the children and teens of the Salt River Indian Community ages 5 – 18
- Transportation to group room sites or group activities
- Promoting healthy snacks
- One on one with staff and group members
- Good relationships with each child’s parents/guardians through home visits. This allows us to promote family unity and involvement which is a priority for our program.

Early Enrichment Program
The Early Enrichment Program provides early learning and experiential activities for Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community 4 year olds to develop school readiness skills. Staff utilize community programs and cultural resources to aid in social, emotional and cultural development.
Program details:
- Educational centers, activities, field trips and play provide the experiential setting for children to learn and develop skills
- Parent involvement is encouraged through monthly parent activities
- Children learn the culture and traditional values of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community through education
- Literacy is promoted through books and storytelling
- Children learn respect toward others and themselves through play, adult-guided activities, and community events
