COVID-19 FAQs

1. Are there positive cases at SRPMIC?

Yes, the Community provides updated notifications on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  The numbers reflect four categories. 1) SRPMIC enrolled community members living within the Community boundary 2) SRPMIC enrolled community members who do not reside within the Community boundary 2) Non-members living within the Community boundary; and 4) Non-members associated with SRPMIC who do not reside within the Community boundary. The updates can be found on the COVID page, SRPMIC Facebook, Community Announcements and text SRPMIC to 474747. 2. What are some preventive measures? 

  1. Stay home.
  2. Wash your hands often.
  3. Stay 6 ft or more apart from others.
  4. Wear a face mask in public.
  5. Stay connected by social media, video chats or phone.

Pledge to abide by the preventative measures by joining the Be a Hero. Stay Zero Campaign.

3. How is the Community managing the response to COVID-19? 

There are several phases the Community will utilize, there are guidelines for each phase: Essential Service-Stay Home, Phase One-Return Strong, Phase Two-Return Strong and the New Normal.

The Community is currently in Phase One-Return Strong – Begins June 1st – Safety Measures are a Key Factor in Phase One

  • SRPMIC Emergency Declaration still ongoing
  • Departments providing limited on site services, by appointment only
  • Facilities remain locked
  • Appointment only customers being escorted inside the buildings and back to the entry once appointment is completed.
  • Face mask required by patrons and employees
  • Social distancing enforced
  • Tribal employee IDs must be worn
  • Hand sanitizer frequently required of employees
  • Buildings remain closed including Round House Café, the WOLF, Memorial Hall, XPN, Neighborhood Center, etc.
  • Sneeze guards in place to protect the public and employees
  • Be a Hero. Stay Zero. Campaign ongoing
  • SRPMIC Testing Updates, Map Updates,  notifications are posted on Monday, Wednesday, & Friday

4. How long will this last?

The SRPMIC Local Emergency Declaration is ongoing. There is not timeline of an ending date, the situation changes daily.

5. Are the gaming facilities open?

Casino Arizona and Talking Stick Resort reopened at Noon on Monday, June 1, 2020. As part of their soft, phased openings, each will open at a limited capacity and with significant health and safety measures in place.

6. What services are open?

There are a limited number of onsite services, these services are by appointment only. To see the list of departments, phone numbers and hours of operations click here.

7.What remains closed? 

Government buildings and conference rooms, Memorial Hall , XPN, Salt River Community Building , Lehi Community Center, Neighborhood Centers, The WOLF, All Gyms (Education, WOLF, SR, Lehi), Skate Park, Pools, Parks, Ballfields, Summer Youth Camps, Youth Programs, Schools

8. How will I receive information going forward?

9. How can I receive email and text alerts on COVID-19 information?

  • To ensure important COVID-19 information is relayed to the SRPMIC membership, the Community is utilizing the Arizona Health Alert Network (AzHAN) system.
