A new tenant has moved into the Pima Center on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. Plexus Worldwide, which distributes health supplements, cut the ribbon on its new headquarters building on January 21. Representatives of the Community attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony included President Delbert Ray, Sr., and Council members Jenelle Howard, Archie Kashoya and Michael Dallas, Sr. Representatives from the City of Scottsdale also joined the Plexus staff for the ribbon-cutting.

The 70,000-square-foot facility will be the world headquarters for the multilevel marketing company, which sells 16 products, ranging from weight-loss items to multivitamin/antioxidant supplements, through its network of Ambassadors. More than 200 employees work at Plexus facilities in the U.S., Canada and Australia.

“Welcome, Plexus. We are looking forward to a very good and long relationship. I know nowadays it’s all about health, and I want to welcome you and the business you will be conducting here on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community,” said President Ray before the ribbon-cutting.

After the ribbon-cutting, staff from Plexus conducted a tour of the new facility, walking through the various departments and meeting spaces and including a look at the in-house studio where commercial filming and photography will take place.

The company was founded eight years ago in Scottsdale and has since expanded into Canada and Australia. According to Arizona’s Inc. 5000 companies, the direct seller generated 16,458 percent growth over three years, closing out 2013 with $159.8 million in revenue.

“I wish to congratulate Plexus on their growth [over the last] five years and your decision to concentrate your business on sovereign land. You have great partners,” said Virginia Korte, council member for the City of Scottsdale.
