Talking Stick Festival

Recently named 2014 Tribal Enterprise of the Year by the American Indian Chamber of Commerce of Arizona, the Talking Stick Cultural & Entertainment Destination (TSCED), along with the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC) proudly announce the Talking Stick Festival: A Destination Celebration. This three-day festival will take place Jan. 22-24 and will feature the best of Native American art, music, film and dance at various venues located in the destination and entertainment corridor off Loop 101 and Indian Bend Road.

New Year's Men's and Women's Basketball Tournament

From January 10 – 11, the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community hosted the 2015 New Year's Men's and Women’s Basketball Tournament at the Pi-Copa Gymnasium. The tournament attracted 16 teams from throughout the state. The double elimination tournament allowed for each team to play against other competitive team hoping for championship bragging rights. .
