Huhugam Ki Museum Summer Classes

gallery-01The Huhugam Ki Museum hosted a week-long Cecmat/Tortilla Camp for girls and boys ages 10 to 12 to teach them how to make homemade tortillas (cecmat).
On Saturday, July 9, tie-dye professionals and Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community members Sara Makil and Leonard Dallas taught a class of more than 20 students of all ages how to tie-dye T-shirts at the Huhugam Ki Museum. The students spent some time learning and practicing the technique, then moved on to their final project, making a tie-dyed T-shirt they could keep.
