2010 Walk for O’odham and Piipaash

On October 2, close to 500 Community members and employees gathered at the Two Waters complex to take part in a walk for the O’Odham and Piipaash.

The walk originally began 7 over years ago as a way for participants to offer prayers and positive thoughts for the people of the Community and to remember our ancestors, family, friends and relatives who passed.

Before the start of the walk, participants were given the opportunity to sign up if they have not already and were offered water and fruit. There were also three stations with water and fruit along the 2.8 Mile.

An opening prayer was given by , Jr. Miss Salt River Kaily Toney; along with along with a few words of encouragement from President Enos and Vice President Harvier just before the walk was to begin.
