Salt River Community Housing Division

Departments

Salt River Community Housing Division consists of four departments: Housing Finance, Property Management, Maintenance, and Housing Services. Each department has the responsibility to maintain communication with our residents and provide the highest quality of services available. Housing Administration has administrative oversight responsibility over the four departments. The Housing Division has partnerships and provides services such as the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program and home insurance with AMERIND.

The Housing Finance Department takes care of all rental payments and manages all accounts, grants and other Housing financial responsibility. Additional financial services include cash management, investment management, accounts payable and receivables, general ledger and financial statements processing and reporting, budgeting, payroll, purchasing and procurement, contract administration and compliance, asset management.

The Property Management Department oversees the Low Income rental Program, Canalside I and II Tax Credit Program, HUD and Tribal Home Loans and Mutual help Program. The Property Management Department assists in providing affordable housing to Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community members. The Property Management Department is involved with contract administration and responsible for maintaining compliance within each housing rental community through property inspections/site visits and collections.

The application process is another important aspect of the Salt River Community Housing Division because this process ensures that each potential resident will receive the utmost fairness, to provide our new applicants with the information needed to make their application process successful.

The Maintenance Department is responsible for providing and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our rental communities. The Maintenance Department is also responsible for conducting regular inspections, preventive maintenance and conducting necessary repairs and ensuring the productive and useful life of the rental homes.

The Housing Services Department provides different training and outreach services for residents and their families, such as budgeting, home care and maintenance, outreach and education on financial literacy. The Housing Services Department is also responsible for working the various Block Watch groups in the neighborhoods and helping to establish new block watches in our rental communities.
