Salt River Community Housing Division

Departments

The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community through an amended ordinance (SRO-448-2014) dissolved the Salt River Community Housing Division and created the Community Tribal Housing Program.

Salt River Community Housing Division consists of the following four (4) departments/divisions:

  1. Resident Resources & Services Division (formerly Property Management) oversees the Low-Income/Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Program(s) totaling 243 low rent rental homes in addition to the Tribal Home Loans and Mutual Help Home Loan Programs. The RR&S Division is responsible for contract/grant administration and ensuring compliance with each rental home from Applicant to Tenancy (Application, Recertification, Inspections/Site Visits (HSSV) and Collections).
  2. Housing Services provides different training and outreach services for residents and their families, such as budgeting, home care and maintenance, outreach and education on financial literacy. The Housing Services Department is also responsible for working the various Block Watch groups in the neighborhoods and helping to establish new block watches in our rental communities.
  3. Maintenance Department is responsible for providing and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for the rental communities through regular inspections, preventative maintenance, conducing necessary repairs and ensuring the productive and useful life of the rental homes.
  4. Finance Department is responsible for accepting payments and managing all accounts, grants and other financial responsibilities.
