The Salt River Fire Department is a premier "all-risk / full service" public safety organization. Services delivered include and are not limited to: fire prevention, emergency medical response (ALS/BLS), fire suppression, rescue, technical rescue, code enforcement, public education, and community partnerships.
Officially established on August 30, 1982, we recently celebrated our 25th anniversary.
The Salt River Fire Department delivers service to approximately 92 square miles of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, which borders the greater Phoenix metropolitian area.

The Salt River Fire Department has four stations to service the Salt River Community. Each station is comprised of an "advanced life support" fire apparatus, and "advanced life support" rescue (ambulance).
