The Salt River Department of Corrections recognizes the need to develop an up-to-date list of qualified candidates so that entry-level and supervisory positions may be filled with the best candidates available. They are to ensure that the procedures used are fair and nondiscriminatory, so as to provide equal opportunity to all applicants and to ensure that the broadest fields of applicants possible are available from which to select from.

Special Requirements for Corrections Officer Applicants

• Must be 21 years of age
• U.S Citizen
• High School Diploma/GED
• Valid Arizona Drivers License
• Completed Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community application along with AZ P.O.S.T. Application

Must complete a 9-week Corrections Officer Training Academy (COTA) located in Tucson, Arizona.
Note: Lateral applicants must provide academy certificate or academy transcripts.

• Social Security Card
• High School Diploma/GED/Sealed High School Transcripts
• Valid Arizona Driver's License
• Military DD-214 Form
• Auto Insurance Certificate
