SRPMIC Special Needs Resources Program

Welcome to the web site for the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community's Special Needs Resources Program. The purpose of this site is to make information available, as well as to provide resources for individuals with special needs and their family members and caregivers. This site provides some resources utilized by the SRPMIC both on and off of the reservation. Each program has different eligibility requirements. This site was started through the Action Team Addressing Special Needs (ATASN), which drives the Special Needs Resources Program.

Vision/Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Special Needs Resources Program to improve the quality of life for Community Members and their families, living with a disability, by providing appropriate referrals, resources, advocacy, and education to meet their unique needs and to raise community awareness and understanding of disability topics.

National Health Awareness and Observances Month
May is National Health Awareness and Observances Month – The month of May includes many observances, including that of National Stroke Awareness Month, National Better Sleep Month, National Women's Health Month, National Old Age Month, and National High Blood Pressure Awareness Month.
