Senior Halloween Carnival

Many seniors came dressed up for the carnival.

The Salt River Senior Center held its annual Senior Halloween Carnival on October 31 at the Salt River Community Building.

Senior Services Department staff helped the seniors enjoy numerous games, which were played for prizes such as candy, dish soap and other household products.

Other activities included a cakewalk for homemade cakes, cupcakes and other desserts, and photo booths where seniors donned festive hats or masks.

More than 150 seniors attended the event, and seniors from other communities were their guests.

Five carnival games were set up and run by staff from Senior Services as well as Salt River Recreation: Pumpkin Hula-Hoop, Basketball Throw, Skee-ball, Beanbag Toss and a “Day of the Dead” selfie booth. The seniors enjoyed DJ Matus and danced away until the last hour of the event.
