Hundreds Attend VAII Christmas Bike Raffle

On December 21, at the VAII Park in the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, the Youth Services Department held the annual VAII Christmas Bike Raffle.

This year’s event had 560 people sign up for the bicycle raffle. A total of 155 bikes of all sizes and colors were given out, as well as 100 helmets provided by the Injury Prevention Program of SRPMIC Health and Human Services.

Santa Claus was in attendance and took photos with the youngsters.

The vendors were from Youth Services. One sold tamales and hot dogs, while the other vendor sold Indian tacos and hot chocolate.

Keetons Kettle Corn was also at the bike raffle and gave away 150 bags of kettle corn.
