Community Welcomes First Dunkin’ Donuts/Baskin-Robbins Combo to Phoenix Metro Area

Dunkin' Donuts has fresh coffee brewing every 30 minutes and fresh donuts baked daily. Baskin Robbins has 31 flavors of ice cream available for you to try.

On September 14, members of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community Council enjoyed coffee and donuts before touring the first Dunkin’ Donuts/Baskin-Robbins combination store in the Phoenix metro area.

The store is located in The Pavilions at Talking Stick at the corner of Talking Stick Way and Pima Road, next to Hooters.

The new location had a soft opening on September 5 and its official grand opening on September 15. The Dunkin’ Donuts mascot, “Cuppy,” various inflatables and balloons were easily visible along the roadways.

“We’ve been looking forward to this site for a long time. The simple fact that it’s a Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin Robbins combo [makes it] a first within the Phoenix metro area, so it’s really big for us,” said District Manager Robert Spaulding with ABDD Capital Franchise.

SRPMIC Council members Tom Largo, Ricardo Leonard, Deanna Scabby and David Antone; Community Development Director Stacey Gubser; and other tribal employees sat down and enjoyed conversation with ABDD Capital employees, Dunkin’ Brands employees, and the managers and owners of the new Dunkin’ Donuts/Baskin-Robbins store. The group also met with all the employees working behind the scenes.

“The Pavilions is such a wonderful area. It’s still growing but it also has a lot of traffic. It’s just down the road from Talking Stick Resort, so it will attract a lot of traffic for us. I personally love this building; it’s different from the others and it’s really nice,” said Spaulding.

According to the Dunkin Donuts website, “Under the Dunkin’ Brands umbrella, both brands share the same vision of conveniently delivering high-quality food and beverages in a welcoming environment, quickly, and at affordable prices. Dunkin’ Brands is home to two of the world’s most recognized and loved brands.”

Conversation topics included how the donuts are made, collaborations with students for a fun activity, and hiring Community members to work at the new store.

If you’re in need of a hot cup of coffee or tea, baked goods or even ice cream, be sure to stop by the new location.
