Senior Night at Salt River High School

On Tuesday, February 7, three Salt River High School varsity boys’ basketball seniors were recognized at halftime during the home game against Paradise Valley Christian. The three players were Community member Jeffery Schurz, Melvin Tso and Brandon Ventour.

Schurz, No. 24, is a three-sport athlete. He played all four years of high school. He plans to attend Arizona State University to study environmental science. He was escorted by his mother, Susana Guerrero.

Tso, No. 1, is a three-sport athlete. Some of his favorite memories include making three-pointers in games. He plans to pursue a welding career. His father, Albert Tso, escorted him.

Ventour, No. 14, is also a three-sport athlete. This is his first year at SRHS, where he participated in football, basketball and track. After high school, Ventour hopes to continue playing basketball at the collegiate level and earn marketing and journalism degrees. He was escorted by his mother, Kim Mitchell.

Paradise Valley Christian defeated the Eagles, 63-52.
