Photo Gallery 2: Excavation Site Reveals History of SRPMIC Ancestors

An area excavation site gave a glimpse of Hohokam life centuries ago. The site uncovered a number of cooking pits, perhaps used for feasting preparation and artifacts likes arrow points, ceramic figurine fragments, food grinding tools. A SRPMIC archeologist dated the items to be about 1,200 years old. Found artifacts were taken to a lab to be analyzed before being returned to the Community’s repository.
