Lady Eagles Raise 2016 State Championship Banner

The 2015-16 banner was added along side the other two championship banners.

During halftime of the Salt River High School Lady Eagles’ home game against Sequoia Charter School on January 31, a special presentation was made.

Three former students and current members of the 2015-16 Lady Eagles basketball team were recognized for last year’s state championship title. The championship banner was raised in the gym to take its place with the other banners.

The 2015-16 Lady Eagles were recognized during half time of the game. SRHS alumni and current players McKenzie Dockerty, Desiree Pacheco, Manager Keanna Osif, Briah Johnson, Jamine Wolters and Arianna Selina were all recognized for their hard work.
“If you coach long enough, then you know making championships is not easy,” said head coach Dino Puccetti. “It’s a very difficult thing to do and you can’t assume that it’s going to happen. It takes a special kind of commitment and togetherness. I felt last year that all that came together.

“Every time you walk into this gym, you girls will always see your names,” said Puccetti.
