Salt River School Track and Field Season Goes Through May

The Salt River High School track and field team opened its 2017 season on March 25 at the Canyon Athletic Association (CAA) Going the Distance Invitational in Queen Creek. Canyon State Academy hosted the event, which attracted about a dozen schools.

Salt River also competed in the Sprint to the Finish on April 1, the Southwest Classic on April 8, and the Go for the Gold Invite on April 15.

Up next for the Eagles is the CAA Regionals on April 22. A last-chance qualifier is set for April 29 for junior high and May 4 for high school.

CAA state track and field prelims are scheduled for May 12, followed by the state finals the next day.
