SRPMIC Celebrates Employee Appreciation Day

Vice-President Martin Harvier thanks all employees for their service during Employee Appreciation Day outside on the Two Waters Courtyard.

Staff of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community thanked tribal government employees during a special ceremony on March 3 in the Two Waters courtyard.

SRPMIC President Delbert Ray, Sr., Vice-President Martin Harvier and Community Manager Bryan Meyers shared a thank-you message to employees across all departments. Breakfast, which included juice, fruit and pastries, was provided.

“I just want to say thank you for all you do for the Community,” President Ray said. “This has been a very good two years in office, to get to see all the things that have transpired. This morning my prayer was just to be thankful for what we have here in Salt River. We know who you are … you are the cream of the crop, you are doing a good job, and Salt River is looked to as the leader in tribal nations of the state for the good things that [we] are doing. People admire us for all the things that are happening [here], and we have to attribute that to each and every one of you, and thank you.”

Community Manager Bryan Meyers speaks to the employees on the jobs they are all doing for the Community.

President Delbert Ray Sr. also thanks employees on behalf of the SRPMIC.

Thanking employees was the theme of the day here, and also across the country, as many companies celebrated their employees.

The Round House Café provided free fountain drinks all day, and the Human Resources department served popcorn and ice cream in the afternoon.

“Look around today and think about what has happened in this Community [over] the last three to five years,” said Meyers. “Generations are going to be looking back at what we all have done and the great leadership that was there, continuing to pave the way for great things to happen.”
