Salt River Junior High Flag Football Team Opens Season

The Salt River Junior High flag football team opened the 2016 season with a tie game, due to bad weather.

The Eagles hosted Skyline-Gila River on August 30, and the game was a defensive battle as it ended in a scoreless tie with about 12 minutes left to go. The game was affected by wind and dust, and it was called when lightning was spotted in the area.

The team is coached by Cameron Timms and assisted by Hosteen Smith. Home games are played at the Salt River High School soccer field.
