Young River People’s Council Raises Money to Attend Prickly Pear Harvesting

Members of the Young River People's Council sold baked goodies for a fundraiser.

Members of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community’s Young River People’s Council sold baked goodies recently to help fund a trip to northwestern Arizona for a prickly pear harvesting event.

The August 26 bake sale in the Human Resources Lobby of Two Waters Building B helped fund the trip to the Hualapai Prickly Pear Harvesting and Jelly Making event, held on September 3 in Peach Springs.

The Hualapai Tribal Youth Council hosted the harvesting event, which included several tribal youth councils from Arizona.
