Photo Gallery 2: Dozens Gather for Send-Off Rally to Support Standing Rock Sioux Tribe

On Tuesday, September 27, dozens of Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community members and tribal employees showed their support at a send-off rally in front of Two Waters Building A for SRPMIC Public Works employees Rudy Prieto and Frank Villa, who then set off on a nearly 1,500-mile trip to the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation in North Dakota. They were pulling a trailer full of items donated by the Community, as well as an eagle feather and firewood, all to help support the Native Americans who are protesting construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline in North Dakota.
