Heard Museum Merges Artists’ Talent and Culture for Confluence Exhibit

On Friday, January 22, the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community hosted a topping-out ceremony for the new Salt River Judicial Center, currently under construction at the corner of Osborn and Longmore roads. Community members and non-Community members gathered on the east end of the building to help raise the building’s last steel roof beam into place.

Thirteen Chinese elite junior golfers from the Asia Pacific Golf Academy (APGA) visited the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community on Thursday, January 28, for a cultural exchange with Community youth at the Round House Café.
 
SRPMIC Government Speaks at AICCAz Luncheon

During the January 22 American Indian Chamber of Commerce of Arizona luncheon, Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community Council Member Michael Dallas, Sr. was asked to be a guest speaker, along with Jennifer Giff, who is senior counsel of corporations/enterprises in the SRPMIC General Counsel’s Office. The luncheon was held at the Eagles Buffet at Casino Arizona.
 
MHA Nation Visits SRPMIC for Idea Exchange on Substance-Abuse Treatment

Several representatives from the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation (MHA Nation) of North Dakota made a stop in the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community on January 28 to learn how the Community deals with the issue of substance abuse.
