Justice Center Update

The new Justice Center is now enclosed with exterior glass.

The expanding Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community campus is patiently awaiting the opening of the new SRPMIC Justice Center. The approximately 90,000-square-foot building is now enclosed with exterior glass and is expected to open this fall.

Here are some recent construction milestones:

Building A (Courts)
• Exterior glass is complete, except for the panes of glass that have been left out to facilitate materials loading.
• The north wall is prepping for metal panels and the ribbon window system.
• Interior walls are being checked for rough-in in preparation for drywall.
• Elevator 1 has been delivered and installation is almost complete.
• The electrical SES concrete walls, pad and gear itself have been set.
• Electrical wiring is being pulled through the building.

Building B (Legal Offices)
• Interior drywall is being installed.
• The low glass is being installed; the high glass will follow early next month.
• Installation of gutter and metal roof will follow the high glazing.
• Roof dry-in is complete (stands for “dry inside,” meaning the roof has been protected and the interior is now protected from rain).
• Electrical wiring is being pulled through the building.

Elevator 1 has been delivered and installation is almost complete. Interior drywall is being installed in both buildings.
