Thirty-Five Years Later, Her Dedication Still Shows 

gallery-02For more than 30 years, the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community has made it a tradition to stage a weeklong celebration to honor its hard-working and talented administrative-support professionals. On Friday, April 24, a special luncheon was held at the Salt River Community Building, where Dorine Andrews was named Administrative Professional of the Year.

Salt River High School Theater Arts Presents: 'Hot-Rod: Cruisin’ Back to the 1950's 

gallery-03On the evening of May 7 at the Salt River High School (SRHS) Lecture Hall, the school’s drama students presented their rendition of the musical Hot-Rod: Cruisin’ Back to the 1950s. The play is a one-and-a-half-hour production that is based on a book by Flip Kobler and Cindy Marcus, with music and lyrics by Bill Fancoeur.



Learning to Prevent Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault 


gallery-04The Department of Health and Human Services recently held a training regarding sexual assault and domestic violence. The training was held at the Courtyard Marriott Salt River April 23. Staff from Salt River Police Department, Social Services, Fatherhood program, Youth Services, Behavioral Health and interested individuals took part in the day long training held in the conference area of the hotel.
