Many members of the Lehi Community and those who play or once played baseball or softball gathered together at the Lehi baseball field on the cloudy Sunday afternoon on March 1 to unveil and dedicate the newly renovated Lehi Ball Field.

Horse Camp 2015 – a True Life Experience

From Friday, March 6, through Sunday, March 9, youth of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community took part in the 2015 Horse Camp held at the SRPMIC tribal wild horse facility. The event is in its 16th year and has tremendous support from Community volunteers, the Salt River Rodeo Association and from other tribes, who all work together to produce this true cowboy experience.



 

Nike Desert Journey Collection Designer Dwayne Manuel Puts SRPMIC on the Map

“I not only represent for [O’odham and Piipaash], but for everybody in Indian Country.” At 30, Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community artist Dwayne Manuel has set a new standard for Community and Native artists. His recent collaboration has put the SRPMIC in the spotlight and is the talk of Indian Country.

 

OdySea Aquarium Arriving Fall 2016 Nothing Like You’ve Ever Experienced

The Talking Stick Cultural and Entertainment Destination will soon welcome the much anticipated OdySea in the Desert to the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, next to Butterfly Wonderland. A groundbreaking ceremony was held for the OdySea Aquarium on the evening of Thursday, March 5. Construction will begin for this two-level aquarium which will arrive fall 2016.
