Nike N7 Donates $20,000 to SRPMIC Recreation for Youth Physical Fitness Programs

During the evening of January 28, outside the courtyard of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community’s Two Waters Complex, Sam McCracken, general manager and visionary behind the Nike N7 brand, showed his appreciation to the Community and its youth through a check presentation. On behalf of Nike N7, McCracken presented SRPMIC Vice-President Martin Harvier with a check for $20,000, which will go to fund a physical-activity program through the SRPMIC Recreation Department.

 

Westwood Seniors Wrap Up 2014 - 2015
Basketball Season

Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community members Mysty Hayes and Rebecca Tsingine have completed their final varsity season with the Westwood Lady Warriors basketball team, finishing with an overall record of 8-18. Both seniors played hard ball throughout the season.

 

The 2015 Eighth Annual Darice Enos Memorial Horseshoe Tournament Was a Fun Time for All!

  Every year since 2008, the Enos Family has sponsored a horseshoe tournament to honor the memory of Darice Enos. Friends and family come out to participate in the event and enjoy each other’s company. This year’s tournament took place on Saturday, January 24, with teams from Whiteriver, Eloy, Gila River, Ak-Chin, Guadalupe and the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.

Community Youth Enjoy Super Bowl Festivities in Downtown Phoenix

  On Saturday, January 24, the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community Recreation Department gave 11 teens a chance to visit the NFL Experience interactive theme park at the Phoenix Convention Center in downtown Phoenix. As one of the Super Bowl XLIX hot spots, the NFL Experience offered various attractions, displays, games, youth football clinics and free autograph sessions.
