Salt River Police Departmentís COFFEE WITH A COP
By Det. Edward Alameda
Public Information Officer, Salt River Police Department

On Thursday November 19, 2015, The Salt River Police Department hosted its monthly Coffee with a Cop session at the Roundhouse Cafť. What made this event unique was Chief Melvin invited newly promoted Mesa Police Chief John Meza and members of his command staff to attend. The event was also attended by members of the Community Council, Administrative Staff, members of the Community and other interested guest.

The purpose of the Coffee with a Cop sessions are to provide anyone interested the opportunity to sit down with members of the Salt River Police Department and bring up any issues or concerns they may have. This event is one of many Community Oriented programs the Salt River Police Department uses to maintain a positive working relationship with the Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community.
