Golf Classic Continues to Benefit Community Children

On Monday, December 7, the Salt River Community Children’s Foundation (SRCCF) hosted its 12th annual Golf Classic at the Talking Stick Golf Club within the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. This year, the golf classic raised approximately $148,000 from 60 teams. All proceeds will help provide services for children of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.
SRPMIC Members and Employees Participate in 2015 Arizona Ironman

A handful of enrolled members as well as employees of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community participated in the 2015 Ford Ironman Triathlon. 10 individuals participate in the competition which included one Community member to participate in the full triathlon and nine in relay teams.
11th Annual Miracle House Foundation Golf Tournament

On Friday, November 20, the 11th annual Miracle House Foundation (MHF) Golf Tournament was held at Talking Stick Golf Club. This year’s fundraiser attracted various teams and volunteers who all came out to support a great cause.
Community Member Werahre Tahmahkera Travels to England

Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community member Werahre Tahmahkera, a junior at Mesa’s Mountain View High School, has been a member of the Mountain View Toro Marching Band Color Guard for the past three years. Recently the band was invited to the United Kingdom to represent the state of Arizona in the 30th anniversary New Year’s Day Parade on January 1, 2016, in London, England.
