Colorado Rockies Donate $10,000 to
Salt River Children’s Foundation

On Sunday, March 29, the Colorado Rockies presented a check to the Salt River Children’s Foundation (SRCF) at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick before the start of the Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Colorado Rockies spring training game. Gregory D. Feasel, executive vice president/chief operating officer, presented the $10,000 check on behalf of the Colorado Rockies to SRCF Chairman Robert “Bob” Scabby and Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community Council Member Deanna Scabby.

Gilland Fulwilder Retires With Over 40 Years
of Service to His Community

The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community Department of Transportation held a surprise luncheon for Gilland Fulwilder on Thursday, March 26. Fulwilder has served his Community for over 40 years, working as a mechanic in the department, and he retired effective April 1. Repairing and maintaining vehicles is a profession that he took up very early in his life and has continued today.

 

Students Express Themselves Through First-Ever Community Art Show

On Wednesday, April 1, Salt River High School and the Accelerated Learning Academy hosted the “What Does It Mean to Be” Collaborative Art Exhibit at Two Waters Building B. Fourteen students put their creativity to the test for the first-ever Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community student art show, which is on display through May 8.


 

Health and Wellness Fair

Families of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community attended the 2015 Family Health and Wellness Fair at the Salt River Community Building on the evening of March 24. Many tribal departments and vendors set up booths for everyone to visit to get information on health and wellness.
