On Thursday, October 2, Noah Webster Schools held the first Ice Cream Social at the Pima Campus, located on Pima Road and Jackrabbit Road. The Ice Cream Social brought the Noah Webster family together for an eventful evening with ice cream—and who doesn’t love ice cream?
“It’s one of those great events that gives us the opportunity to meet the parents, meet the Community, continue to learn and build relationships, and then you throw ice cream and students singing in the mix; it makes for a great event. I’m really excited to have the opportunity to be here to serve,” said Principal Eric James.
The evening’s festivities started at 6 p.m., and families were able to visit a book fair and spend time outside in the play area, where parents could mingle and children could play. Parents met the school’s staff and faculty and also got to know parents from other pre-kindergarten and kindergarten classes.
“I think [the bookfair] gives a really nice ambiance to the educational piece, which is trying to promote reading, as well as just being a family. At Noah Webster, we’re a family and we want to try and promote that within our schools. Education and relationships go hand in hand, it helps all the way around,” said Superintendent Kelly Wade.
In the school’s multipurpose room, six different classes performed songs for the audience, each earning a standing ovation from parents, staff and faculty.
