On Thursday, October 2, Noah Webster Schools held the first Ice Cream Social at the Pima Campus, located on Pima Road and Jackrabbit Road. The Ice Cream Social brought the Noah Webster family together for an eventful evening with ice cream—and who doesn’t love ice cream?




 

Community Youth Exposed to Career and College Options

On Friday, September 26, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale hosted a Career and College Fair at the Lehi Community Center within the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. The fair attracted 75 students who were able to visit approximately 20 booths offering options for a bright future.


 

Committee Supports Community’s Elders

Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community members who are elders, who are disabled, or both, have a resource to help with any needs and concerns related to their well-being. The Senior and Disabled Community Advisory Committee (SDCAC) assists seniors and Community members with disabilities regarding issues related to home repair, financial assistance, transportation and learning more about the many other community and regional services available to them. SDCAC acts as an advocate to help these folks voice their concerns and get the help they need.
