SRHS Shows Team Spirit During Homecoming Week

“Beat the Knights!!” was chanted by students during spirit week at Salt River High School. During the week of November 3-8, Salt River High School held many festivities for students, staff and faculty. This week allowed for students to show their school pride and help motivate the SRHS football team to beat the Crimson Knights on Friday night. The homecoming festivities ended on Saturday night.


 

SRPMIC’s Red Mountain Half Marathon

Runners showed up at Salt River High School on October 25 to participate in the annual Red Mountain Half Marathon, a 13.1-mile run on both road and dirt throughout the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. More than 100 runners competed individually or on relay teams.



 

Jacob Schurz Competes in Mesa Youth Football League

Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community member Jacob Schurz, 14, has been playing with the Mesa Toros team of the Mesa Youth Football League for the past two years. The team played against other youth teams in the league during the season in hopes of playing in their league championship at Arizona State University’s Sun Devil Stadium.



 

Salt River High School Cross Country Team Makes it to State

On Saturday morning, November 1, Salt River Junior High’s cross country team competed at Kiwanis Park in Tempe at the Canyon Athletic Association (CAA) Cross Country State Championships on a brutal 1.5-mile course. There were nearly 150 runners entered in the junior high girls race.
