The Salt River Children’s Foundation recently received a $7,000 donation from the Executive Council Charities, Ovations and the Salt River Fields. The presentation was made June 3, at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick.

The donation came to the SRCF by word of mouth when the executive director of Executive Council Charities inquired to Salt River Fields and Ovations about where they could donate money raised from a recent charity event held at the Salt River Fields at Talking Stick. The group was directed to the Salt River Children’s Foundation.

“I talked with Chris Marshall who is the Executive Director of Executive Council Charities, which is a nonprofit corporation, about the donation,” said Bob Scabby, SRCF board member. “We know each other from the foundation funding programs to the Boys and Girls Club, which Marshall was once a part of.

We are very thankful for the donation which goes to our youth of the Community.”
As always, donations will help sponsor enrolled Community youth with educational, cultural and personal growth, which in turn will help the youth become successful students, leaders, and contributing member in an outside of the Community.

The SRCF supports youth who are involved in many organizations such as SRFD fire explorers, SRPD police explorers, Boys & Girls Club programs such as America Reads, Music Nation by Phoenix Symphony and the Salt River Financial Services Institute YES Academy.

The SRCF would like to give recognition to the Executive Council Charities and those involved in the presentation including: Dave Dunne, Salt River Fields; Shaun Northup, Salt River Fields; Jimmy Tometich, Executive Council Charities; Mike Ginzl, Executive Council Charities; Robbie Petty, Executive Council Charities; Chris Marshall, Executive Council Charities; Robert Brackett, Ovations; and Austin Bates; Executive Council Charities.
