Grand Opening of First Burlington Coat Factory on Arizona Tribal Lands

On Friday, September 20, The Pavilions at Talking Stick welcomed Burlington Coat Factory to their neighborhood in a grand-opening ceremony. The first-ever Burlington store on Arizona tribal lands is an accomplishment for the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, which continues to be a model across Indian Country.

Community Members Prepare for Miss Indian Arizona Program

Two members of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, Elisa Briones and Marissa Johnson, will be competing in the 2013-14 Miss Indian Arizona Scholarship Program on Saturday, October 12 at Chandler Center for the Arts.

On Thursday, September 19, the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community’s Superkids program held its welcome-back dinner at the Salt River Community Building. The Superkids and their families enjoyed an evening of fun, food and getting to know other Superkids and their families in a comfortable environment.
