Fourth Of July Celebration

gallery-01This year, the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community Fourth of July Celebration took place at the Salt River High School football field. Musical entertainment was provided by Candi Hofmann and The Swamp Coolers, and throughout the evening family games were played every 30 minutes.



ALA Graduation

gallery-02This year’s graduates are Brooklyn B. Chiago, Murray J. Gardner, Toni C. Sine, Michael L. Smith, Jr., Marquis W. Toney and Victoria T. Wood. Each student plans to attend college in the fall, starting the next chapter of their lives. A few graduates will stay local and attend the Maricopa County Community Colleges (MCCC), and others will attend automotive and culinary schools.

Fitness Volunteers Help Keep SRPMIC in Shape

gallery-03If you’ve been to the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community Fitness Center, you’re probably familiar with the staff instructors and trainers. As you may know, every month the Diabetes Program hosts group exercise classes for Community members and SRPMIC employees at no cost. Each day has different classes to target different parts of the body.


Education Recognition Ceremony

gallery-04New Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community member graduates were recognized for their accomplishments on June 27 at the Talking Stick Resort Conference Center.
